Open source ecology…

Every once in awhile I will come across a project that I absolutely love and get excited about. This is one of those times. Take a look at the video below and then go to Openfarmtech.org and read about what these guys/gals are doing. Super amazing stuff.

They say this about themselves:

Open Source Ecology is a movement dedicated to the collaborative development of tools for replicable, open source, modern off-grid “resilient communities.” By using permaculture and digital fabrication together to provide for basic needs and open source methodology to allow low cost replication of the entire operation, we hope to empower anyone who desires to move beyond the struggle for survival and “evolve to freedom.”

Read about their “Global Village Construction Set” while you are at their wiki.

  1. I believe that they are currently making their own biodiesel for the tractor. The plans are pretty incredible for everything.
