recording before edison…

here is a cool article that speaks of an audio recording that took place in 1860, almost two decades before edison’s recording. although this was just recently found, i believe edison staked claim to a lot of science or inventions that other people had performed. it’s known that he had inventors working for him that often went unnoticed. i wish i could talk to nikola tesla and ask him what he though of edison. that would be a conversation to record.

taking a couple of weeks off…

well, i’m taking a couple of weeks off from the weekly song experiment. we are in full moving mode. we’ve built a new house and we are trying to get settled in and get everything taken care of that needs to be done. hopefully we will start work on building the new studio within the next month or so. i wish the winter would stick around for a while, but i have a feeling humidity and heat are just around the corner.

week 10 – weekly song experiment – pneumonia

i’m not sure how i did it this week. i started recording this song at 9 o’clock tonight. it’s now 10:21. i recorded this up in the bonus room bathroom. i’ve been sick as all get out this past week and i’m still not over it. i couldn’t sing and i feel pretty bad at the moment. we also are living amongst boxes at the new house. this week was a struggle.

this week’s song is entitled pneumonia. it’s how i feel and maybe i should go to the doc to find out. anyway, head over to the weekly song experiment page to give it a listen.

completely swamped…

i have been completely swamped this week and not to mention that i’ve been sick since sunday evening. i haven’t even started the song for this week and i know i can’t sing because of my being sick. you can kind of hear it in my voice last week.

anyway, i’m going to try and write an instrumental piece for this week again. i must do it!

so, for the time being, check out a kick ass link:
